Our Story!!!

Formed in 1980 as the Flying Fortress Swing Orchestra in 1980, The New England Swing & Soul Orchestra  has ranged from Maine to Pennsylvania during the past 40+ years. NESSO at different times has functioned as a dance band, wedding band, and as a backing band for New Orleans saxophonist Charles Neville.

These days the band appears most frequently in concert as a retrospective of 1930s and 1940s classic swing era:

Music from: Fletcher Henderson, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Benny Goodman,

Glenn Miller, Harry James, Artie Shaw, Ray Noble, Woody Herman, Les Brown, and more!
